Kathmandu: The prevailing meteorological conditions in Nepal are marked by the displacement of the monsoon low pressure axis from its normal position to the north. Additionally, the influence of a low pressure area over India's Uttar Pradesh region has extended into Nepal.

As a consequence of the interplay between these two weather systems, widespread rainfall is being observed across the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The weather across Nepal is characterized by a general to complete cloud cover, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall occurring in multiple areas, particularly in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

Anticipated weather conditions for the afternoon involve continued cloudiness encompassing the entire nation, with the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. The remaining provinces might also experience this pattern at select locations.

In certain regions, there exists the potential for heavy rainfall along with thunder and lightning. Specifically, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are at risk of such conditions, along with a few places in Madhes and Lumbini provinces, as indicated by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Weather Outlook for Saturday

On Saturday, the weather forecast points to partially to generally cloudy skies prevailing across the country. There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while other provinces may also witness similar conditions in certain areas.
